Fidippid

Fidippid (yun. Φειδιππίδης) və ya Filippid (yun. Φιλιππίδης) — müasir idman növlərindən biri hesab olunan marafon yarışının yaranmasına səbəb olan hekayənin mərkəzi fiqurudur.Marafon döyüşü yunanların farslar üzərində parlaq qələbə qazanması ilə başa çatdıqdan sonra, bu xəbəri Afinaya çatdırmaq üçün Marafon şəhərindən Afinaya qədər piyada qaçmışdır. 42 km-lik yolu qət etdikdən sonra, onun ürəyi buna dözməmiş və o xəbəri verdikdən sonra vəfat etmişdir
