Afanasi Krixer 2 may 1602 Fuldada anadan olmuşdur. Alimin atası- Yohan Krixer (Йоханнес Кирхер)- fəlsəfə ilə maraqlanırdı və həmcinin Maynsdaki teoriyalardan dərəçə qazanmışdır. 10 yaşında atası Fulda seminariyasına verir. 1616-cı ildə Afanasiya Maync tərəf yönləndirilmişdir.
