Ekososiologiya və ya ətraf mühitin sosiologiyası (ing. Environmental sociology) — sosial və təbiət elmlərinin kəsişməsində sosiologiyanın bir qolu. Avropadan gələn immiqrasiya dalğasını uyğunlaşdırma praktika məqsədilə XX əsrin əvvəllərindəki Amerika şəhərlərindəki insan icmalarının tədqiqatı ilə başlayan ekososiologiya bu gün insanlar və biosfer arasındakı birbaşa və geribildirim əlaqələrini araşdıran qlobal, qloballaşmanın yerli həyata təsiri də daxil olmaqla bütün səviyyələr bir elm sahəsinə çevrildi. Ekososiologiya , yerli özünüidarə nəzəriyyəsi, tədqiqatlar və ilə sıx bağlıdır.
Tarixi
Ətraf mühitin sosiologiyasının qurucuları — Florian Znanetski, Robert Park, Lüis Virt və başqaları (Chicago Human Ecology School) — 1920-1940-cı illərdə sosiologiyaya "yad", "marjinal şəxs" və digərləri kimi mühüm anlayışlar daxil etdilər. Elə həmin illərdə rus alimi Vladimir Vernadski sosial-təbii orqanizm kimi "biosfer" anlayışını irəli sürdü.
