Hinayana (sanskr. हीनयान, hīnayāna, hərfi mənada – "kiçik araba"; çin. 小乘, Sayao Çen; yap. 小乗, Şoco) — buddizmin əsas qollarından biri. Bu, bir insanın cəmiyyətdən və rahiblikdən uzaqlaşdığı xoşbəxtliyini ifadə edir. Şri-Lanka, Myanma, Laos, Tailand və digər cənub ölkələrində yaradılmışdır. Hinayanada buddist nirvana idealı hər hansı xarici şəraitdən asılı olmayaraq, əsasən şəxsi kamillik, arhat idealı şəklini almışdır. Hinayana dharmalar təlimini inkişaf etdirmişdir. Onun əsas fəlsəfi məktəbləri sautrantika və vaybhaşikadır.
